The legs
Tbilisi to Kutaisi is about 230 km, Kutaisi to Batumi roughly 145 km, and Tbilisi to Batumi some 370 km by road. A trunk run between the far points is a full working day for a truck once loading and unloading are counted.
Why a single warehouse does not work
If the goods sit only in Tbilisi, any order from Batumi becomes a dedicated run: expensive at small volumes and slow when it is urgent. So the network is built on «trunk plus city delivery»: large trucks run between warehouses on a timetable, and a city van covers the last leg from the nearest warehouse.
What that gives the customer
- City delivery within 24 hours instead of waiting for an intercity run.
- The ability to order in small lots without paying for a dedicated trip.
- An urgent top-up on the day of the request, if the goods are at the nearest warehouse.
How to use it
Agree a regular delivery window instead of one-off requests. A truck already running the route costs less than a truck called out for you. The same arrangement lowers your safety stock — and therefore the money frozen in the warehouse.
